Time to get paid

Find ways to Monetize your website is hard enough in this tough market but imagine working in a smaller more specialist niche. Find advertiseres must be almost impossible and the actualy demand is a low lower.

So how can you get paid if you find your self in one of these niches or if you cannot keep your head above water in a much larger niche?

The answer could be Speak-ToMe.com who offer a new method of earning via the comfort of your own web site and expertise. Imagine you are a remote control car enthusiast who tunes engines on the small race cars, you know what you're doing and you blog about it. You struggle to get paid as the niche is fairly small and advertisers want a larger audience than the handful of visitors to your blog or twitter feed. This is where Speak-ToMe comes in - it gives your handful of visitors the chance to speak one on one with you. How many times have you had a problem that would have paid anything to fix at that moment rather than wait the hours/days or even weeks to get it fixed or sorted.

By adding a simple widget to your site you will enable your readership to have the opportunity to connect with the people they really want to.

To find out more check out the web site..... http://www.speak-tome.com

Portfolio Growth

I have recently been adding sites to my portfolio and now have around 10 blogs that are up and running. I have started to monetize these blogs using both adsense and other means.

Although I have not had great success to date with affiliate marketing I am currently at break even or in profit with most sites. The next step it to make these sites earn a small sum on a regular basis, an auto pilot if at all possible. With them being blogs it looks like there will always be the content generation side of things that needs to be taken care of but that is fine with me.

The next step for me it to look at possibly flipping some of these sites to make a profit.

Find out whose calling

If you have ever rushed to answer the phone and missed that call, then you know the frustration of wondering whether it was important, maybe a missed golden opportunity or maybe just an annoying prank call. Well now you can do a Reverse Phone Search, over at usaphonelookups.com

This site will let you search any number in the whole US. Maybe its time you took your own time getting to the phone knowing that you can find out exactly who did call ;)

TNX vs Text Link Ads

These 2 services are both about selling links on your sites.

Basically with Text Link Ads you sign up, submit your site, the review it and accept of decline your site and then crawl your content for keywords and phrases that advertisers are looking for. If they find one the will offer you the chance of this ad and pay you a % of the monthly price (50% i think).

TNX works slightly different, you sign up and add your sites, but you ad some code to your site where you would like the links to appear. Once sold you will see a line of text appear in that section of the site. TNX pays you for these links in tnx-points.

So how do they compare for making money?

Well I've had them on the same sites for a couple of months now and have just cashed in my tnx points for $19, in the same time frame text link ads has paid me just over $10 with another $11 due. This basically puts them neck and neck.

The advantage of text link ads though is that for slightly more money, they place a lot less links on your site. Have you used either service? What is your verdict?

Ruth Parasol

Ruth Parasol is best known for being the founding member ofthe largest online gaming community, PartyGaming Plc. The parent
company of partypoker.net. I'm sure everybody has seen either the TV or online ads for partypoker.net. They hold one of the largest televised poker games on tv with some incredible payouts.

Ruth is also the chair of The Bonita Trust, an independent philanthropic trust founded in 2004. The trust aims to enrich the Gibraltar community through a programme of endowments to educational, cultural, health and community projects.

As you can probably tell Ruth is a hard working entrepreneur who has shown that determination and hard work do pay off in the end.

To Catch a Preditor

The "to catch a preditor" show really makes me think about the safety of my kids and this worry is often reassured when the news reports some more bad news. Its s shame that these criminals seem to have more rights than the rest of us so I do not hesitate to tell my readers about the Sexual Predator Search.

Check out your area and search fir sexual preditors, check your neighbourhood and make full use of slight ability that Megan's Law" has given us.

Blogging Issues Part 1

One of the main issues that people who blog for money run into is the constant need to generate original content. Not only do they have to review web pages and products but they also have to create posts for inbetween sponsored opportunities for sites such as pay per post.

ALthoug for some this is fairly easy it does take up time and can seriously dig into your daily work day especially if you are blogging or running multiple blogs.

My advise, that I rearly follow myself is to keep a few timeless posts in the bank just in case you are in a rush and really need one quickly, remember be sure to replace these once used.

Get that number

If you've ever lost contact with a childhood friend or maybe work colleague then why not try and get back in touch using the Reverse Phone Registry, a fantastic site that will allow you to look up phone numbers nationwide.

This service is ideal for getting in contact with people you meet on business trips or even on vacation. Why not call up an old school friend to see what they are doing. It is a great example of how the web and practicality can work together.

Money Earnt Through Host Gator

Weel today I recieved notification that one of my hostgator banners had turned into a sale. This is great news as it will mean a further $50 to add to the total.

I'm not sure when this will be paid as I think the systems works something similar to adsense where you wait til the end of the month (so Sept), then wait a month for processing (Oct) and recieve mid way through the month after (Mid Nov). Just in time for Christmas eh.

Has anyone had success with this program?

SWAT Time

If you've ever seen those guys walking the streets that all most look like they are SWAT and wondered where the hell do you buy tactical pants like those, then this is the post for you.

A brief search on the net turned up this web site, lapolicegear.com, this is the one stop shop for everything from police to SWAT, desert storm to who knows what else. The products range from cool gadgets like the flashlights to combat gear. There is even a closeouts section so you can definitely pick up a bargain.

Its time to start making that list for Santa Claus.

Slow Goings

After a busy start to the month things have slowed down. I haven't seen many opps on either social spark or pay per post and despite putting in around 10 offers at sponsored reviews I have had no take up. To top that off Adsense is slow and the down time at my main site has meant traffic has dropped substantially.

I guess these are the times that makes you think about taking a different route to online riches. Do I use some of the money I have made as an investment in a new program that has been launched or use it to try and buy a site that is earning a monthly income. To be honest I don't think I have enough as yet in the kitty to be able to buy a site making 100$ per month.

Its time to get the thinking cap on and to come up with another income stream.

Sorting your hosting

Sorting out your web hosting is one of the first things you will have to do when trying to make an impact online. This will be one of the major decisions you make as moving isn't always as straight forward as it should be, it has thrown up one or two issues that made me wish i'd spent more time deciding on a good one rather than going for the first good deal I saw.

Help is at hand and its a good job because there are so many out there. Webhostingrating.com offers you a comparison site for web hosting of all kinds from cheap web hosting to dedicated servers it has everything that you will need. To top that off they have an awesome articles section so you can usually find help on anything from ruby on rails to this cpanel tutorial I found. This is great for newbie and intermediate users wanting to move to the next step with their site or blog, whether thats move to running a dedicated server and learning the ropes or picking up a few tips with a development language, you will probably find what you need in this library of articles.

If you are looking to set up a site, mabe move away from blogger or another free host make sure to check out what is out there. It might even help you spot something that you need in a host taht you didn't realise you needed.

Earn more at Digital Point

As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, I was rather fed up with being just under my target for the year so I decided to transfer some money across and beat that target. Before doing that I posted an add over at digital point in the link sales section offering links on my PR3 blog. Having not heard anything straight away I forgot about it until the following day.

After checking my email and private messages in the forum I managed to generate over $200 in link sales. I'll be adding this amount to the total shortly but it just goies to show. A little work on a blog can pay off big time with a little work and the right audience.

Records Search

If you ever feel the need to do a public records search, then localpublicrecords.org might be the place for you.

They offer a fantastic web site that lets you search a huge database of US & State public records. Whether is birth or death information or even business information you will be able to find it here.

Posting Opportunities

It looks as though there are a few more opportunities on the likes of pay per post that are willing to accept posts on free domains like this one. Recently I have done 2 last week with another 2 available. This is getting promising and will take my total income for this free blog to $30. Not bad for a blog that is 100% free.

Find the divorcee

If you live in Missouri and want to search for the latest divorces then look no further as localdivorcerecords.org have just released: Missouri Divorce Records.

This online database will let you search the records using either state, county or zip code and look at all the online information that is available to them. A great way to see if that marriage you heard about actually worked out.

Homepage Friends

The homepage-friends story has taken another twist. Although everyone I know was ready to giv eup on the system as a scam now a member posted an emaikl he received form their customer support dept. The email basically said they are slowly working through a backlog. How true this is I don't know. For the number of users and email enquireies they must have been getting a simple message on the members area would have gone a long way to putting some minds at rest.

I'm still in a wait ans see situation. I'll keep you all posted.

Internet Access to anything

I have recently been lurking around the net and remembered a piece of software I used to ahve a few years back. The software was a bit like a phone book only digital and in the days where computers were new it was great to be able to enter a name and find an address and/or phone number.

It looks as this has moved forward and is the reason why USmarriagerecords.org appealed to me, they have a wide range of records in their data base such as, Texas Marriage Records. It is a very easy service to use and navigate. You can basically search by name, zip or state and find the information you are looking for, it really is a great service.

Its time for the target to go!

I'm still pending a lot of payments form different sources but its time for the target of $500 to be passed. Today I transferred out $57.80 from my Social Spark account into my paypal account. This puts my new total at $523.67, I have also taken off the $15 I was due from bux.to as I haven't heard from them and 3 months has passed since I requested a payout. I will make another post about that though shortly.

SO the target has been passed. Can I earn $500 in my first year of blogging. For sure. Can I earn $1000, who knows. What I need to do it set myself a new target for year 2. How much do you guys think I should aim for?

Blogspot Paid Posts

In the last week or 2 I have made my first money from this very blog. I took two opportunities over at payperpost and though that I'd be posting them to my other blogs. When I checked to see where I was able to post about it I was surprised when this very blog popped up.

So can you make money from a blogspot blog - yes.

Do I recommend it - No.

So much more can be made from a PR0 blog on its own domain and paid hosting than a PR2/3 blogspot blog that it isn't worth the hassle for the little extra saving.

Cost - the realistic cost of a domain name is $10 per year. Call it $1 per month. Hosting can be purchased at $10 per year, again $1 per month. $2 per month and all you have to do is take 1 $5 opp per month to be making money.

For me its a no brainier. I will keep this blog running, to track my overall blogging earnings but I'll not be trying to push ad sales on here as it just doesn't seem worth the effort.

Homepage Friends - Scam or Not?

Is homepage friends a scam?

I'd like to say no. I have been paid out by them once and was due another payment in the middle of August. This however never came. I currently have owed to me over £70 in my account and there are more people than me in this situation.

Now of course I hope this system isn't a scam but they are not doing themselves any favors my not communicating with their users. If by not communicating it is allowing them to process things fast then that is fine but after a month of barely no payment things should be looked at and a few minutes taken to issue a bulk email to let the users know what is happening.

Are you using homepage friends? (formerly mysearchfunds) Are you still waiting for payment, if so let us know.

Spy stuff

Ok it seems like the stuff from spy shows, something the CIA would use. Reverse Phone Lookup gives you the ability to check any number in any state and receive information on it. Whether that be the owners name, address or even sat image. It gives a great idea of how technology has progressed over the years.

Sneaky Smorty

Last week I received my first payment from Smorty for a blog post I wrote. Today I logged in and tried to take 2 opportunities that were still listed but when I tried to accept them they changed to no longer available.

Anyway I was checking the comments on another blog and there was this guy saying how I could earn between $6 and $300 dollars per post. I wasn obviously interested to checked out the link only for it to be an affiliate link for smorty. Looke like they're planning on growing big so I might try that affiliate program out myself.

Private Investigator Heaven

Ever wondered what is kept in all those Court Records?

Now you can find out, simply pop over to courtrecordsearch.net and do a simple search on first and last name and get access to the report you need. There is a small fee of course if you would like the record but it can be priceless information, depending on your line of work of course!

PI heaven if you ask me.

Payouts from Smorty & Sponsored Reviews

Another payout from Sponsored Reviews - my biggest yet at $71.50. This is proving to be the best service for paying the most for your reviews.

As I mentioned in my last post I will do a comparison of the services and let you know the ups and downs of each one. I have also received my first payout from Smorty, $6 for one post I carried out. I also logged back in there are had the opportunity to take another 10 posts. I clicked on the one I wanted to take but it wouldn't pop up with any details.

I'll try that again later - another $77.50 to add to the total - a payout from either homepage friends or adsense will break the $500 limit.

Target well in sight

I've jsut received some more payments from Pay Per Post. I must admit is it my favourite of all the paid postings site to use, even if they don't pay you the most per review, you all ways know where you are with them. I think I'll right a comparison post as all the ones I use have their own little benefits.

Anyway with this amount I've earnt over $160 from pay per post and over $400 in total. The target of $500 will be gone in another month it everything goes to plan so the next question is, how much can I earn in my first year and could I even hit the big $1000.

That seems a little ambitious but it is definately the next big target.

Social Spark Surprise

I received an email earlier today saying that I had been given a bonus at Social Spark. The first time I didn't ready the message correctly, I thought it would be a bonus opportunity. Which is great but I usually get to them only to be met with the line:

**US BLOGGERS ONLY**

To my surprise I logged into my account and checked my messages. I'd been awarded a $25 bonus on a post I had already written and been paid for. The post was to advertise some coupon codes for GoDaddy and the had given me the bonus. So thank you social spark and thank you godaddy. I've had mixed feelings about social spark but this has definately made up for all those US Blogger Only comments I see on most of the posts I can qualify for.

Right lets go look for some more opps with $100 bonuses.

1 down but still going

I haven't managed to get to the bottom of the situation with my blog over at philbenwell.co.uk/blog yet. I'm still waiting for the hosting company to let me know exactly why they have taken my blog down.

Anyway, it looks like I will have to start over as I didn't have a full back up of all the posts so there is likely to be a cost in that some pay per post opportunities will not get paid, this includes a $35 opp which is a shame.

I will learn form this mistake and it will give me the chance to redesign the site with out the worry of transferring etc. I would have however still liked to keep that as is and just start another new one.

Keeping plodding on but adsense, pay per post, social spark and other opps have all dried up now.

Hosting SUCKS!

Well here is my little rant. The blog I am earning most of my money on has suddenly dissapeared. I contacted the web host who have my account as cancelled for some reason, I've had no reply in 2 days to 2 support tickets.

It just goes to show paid hosting doesn't mean hassel free blogging, my site here at blogger has never been down.

God knows what the pepole over at streamlinenet.co.uk are playing at but I don't think I'll be hosting with them again.

Money making is currently on hold - do you think I could claim loss of earnings?

More Money Flooding In

August seems to be a good month for payments. As I mentioned a couple of days ago I have hit the payout amount for AdSense, although I will not get this payment for another 30-45 days or so it was still great to hit that limit.

As well as the AdSense, we have also entered the payment window for homepage friends. I should be due around another $70 from there. I have picked up a message though saying payment might be a little late but should still come before the end of the month. Great work homepage friends, its always nice to know whats happening. Too many sites just leave their customers guessing.

I've also received more pay per post payments and took my biggest opp from there at $35 earlier this month. This one is still to be approved and paid with a few others but the total already paid from them so far this year has not hit $164.26

I'll await payments from homepage friends and then I will update the total again. Target here we come.

Paid Blogging Ethics

I know there has been debate in the past as to whether you should take sponsored blog posts and not make clear that these are sponsored, that is not my issue. My issue resolves around taking an opportunity from the likes of pay per post or social spark and not really commenting on the site or product in question but rather including the links and then rambling on about something else, only semi related.

Here's the detail.
I have the opportunity to take an opportunity about an auto loan. The only blog I can post it on is a tech blog. I don't really want to go off topic so I thought I could write about Remote Control Cars and loans to buy the best available?

What do you think? I know the advertiser could always say it wasn't good enough and I might not get paid but how often do they read the post when its for under $10 when the links are still present?

Can an advertiser say no once pay per post have approved the post?

Adsense Pending

I've just got back into the whole working and blogging thing after taking a week off to celebrate my son's 4th birthday. I came back and checked the regular stats etc and found a nice suprise for myself. In my absense my adsense account has hit its first $100.

From reading a few usful pages it looks as though the amount will keep counting until the end of the month and then be processed next month, this means that I should receive a check around October time. This will provide a great increase in the total earnings I have made since starting this blog and has been a truely passive stream of income.

Roll on my next check.

Cash updates

A new day and a new balance update.

As I mentioned yesterday I have $11.55 at Social Spark that is awaiting payment but I need to reach $20 first, as this is just a matter of time I have decided to add the amount on but as pending. I will probably split that amounts to read, Social Spark paid and Social Spark pending, any feedback on where I should do it this way?

I've also received payouts from Sponsored Reviews ($13 - 1 post) and Pay Per Post ($49.25 - 5 posts).

These have all been added to the grand total making a new total of $367.91, with another payment imminent from mysearchfriends/homepagefriends and me closing in on the adsense milestone of $100, the $500 target looks well in sight.

Social Spark Payouts

This is something I didn't know......

On Social Spark posties must reach $20 before cashing out via paypal or any other method. With this being another IZEA company I thought the process would work the same as Pay Per Post but apparently not.

Fortunately this has worked well for me as at my first payment date I had the wrong paypal email address registered, now the 2nd date has passed I thought I'd double check that the payment had been made. This is where I realized it was up to the postie to "cash out" and that my balance of $11.55 couldn't be taken until I reach $20.

I do have 2 more approved posts that will increase this balance to a little over $21 but it also means waiting a little longer to get hold of that money. I do prefer the Pay Per Post system for this reason and the fact that if I don't meet the criteria I don't see the opportunity. At Social Spark I am still seeing the green light when they are asking for US bloggers only. Not great when I live in the UK.

I wonder if my blog was hosted in the US I'd get around this issue? Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Is Bux.to a scam?

As you can see I have had a $15 payment pending from bux.to for quite some time. I recently sent in a support ticket asking if I could request another pay out as my balance is nearing $50 or would that effect the current payment. I think I read somewhere that you could only request a payout once and then you'd have to wait for that one to be complete before making another.

Anyway I did a bit of research and there seems to be a lot of other people in the situation. It looks as though a few people were paid out in 2007 but that doesn't mean people are still being paid today. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has been paid in the last 3 months.

I'm currently not touching the service until I receive a ticket back regarding the payment or receive payment that I requested a while ago.

Page Rank 2

I never thought I'd see the day but its here. This site has just improved page rank from 0 to 2. This opens up a few more avenues to make money online. I'll look at rearranging the page and hopefully start to sell some advertising.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a blog post, blog link or 125 spot then just leave a comment below.

On another note, I have received my first payment from Social Spark and over the next few weeks I should start to see some more payouts from both them and pay per post.

Paid Postings

So now this blog is pay per post approved. It is also listed on Social Spark but I'm still awaiting for an approval verification from there. It seems to be a bit of a 2 bit system over there with many things that need sorting. I've recently been told that I don't meet the requirements for a post after being approved for it and "them" reserving the opportunity for me.

This has happened a few times so I have stopped taking opportunities from them for the time being. I am due to be paid today for my first social spark post. With not using them its fallen at a great time that I have had an advertiser from Sponsored Reviews get in touch about a $20 opportunity (of which i get $13) so that should keep things running while I can find a few more opportunities on pay per post etc.

My Search Funds - Payment Date Missed

I've just logged in and checked my status again at My Search Funds (My Homepage Friends) and they are currently paying out for balances in excess of £20 ($40) for the end of May 2008. I managed to meet the payment for April but was a few pounds off for the May payment.

Another month and I should be due around the same payment as last time, somewhere in the region of $70, that will put me a lot closer to my target and well into the $350+ range. Roll on June 2008 payouts.

I'm also trying to meet the £20 per month target to ensure a pay day every month rather than just every 2. Fingers crossed and let me get searching!

Another Pay Per Post - Post

Well its finally happened, my blogspot blog has been accepted at Pay Per Post. I took an opportunity yesterday only to find that my blog hadn't been added to the list of where I could write that particular post.

I'm wondering if there is an option to disclude (I don't think that's a word!) them or whether it was just too soon after being approved. Anyway I'll see how the next opp goes and report back.

Another update - Funds have started to be paid for jobs I've taken in the last 30 days, the total should be over $100 after all payouts have completed, plus about $20 from Social Spark. For now anyway its another $10 to the total.

Thursday, 17 July 2008

Pay Per Post

It looks as though this blog might finally get approved to earn some money itself rather then just relaying what I earn from my other 2 blogs.

This will be a big plus for me and will mean that I have 3 blogs on 3 different topics which will hopefully result in more opportunities becoming available. I've also started making some slight amendments to the sidebar so will look to continue these over the next week and may even consider a new theme design.

Does anyone know how to get a non-standard theme on a blogspot blog?

New Category - Blog Advertising/Reviews

I've been lucky enough to have been approached to post a review on one of my blogs. With a bit of luck this will start to happen more often and it means that I can negotiate a price without someone in the middle taking a percentage. This had let to me adding the category "Blog Advertising/Reviews" to the list of money making profits and has also got me another $30 closer to my first year target.

With a bit of luck this target will be reached around the 9 month mark which will arrive in October. It is also time to make a few amendments to this site, so if anyone has any tips just let me know.

Thanks for reading,

Things running smoothly

Well there's not been any real increase in earnings recently. I've taken a few opportunities from pay per post that I'm now waiting to receive payment for. I've also taken 2 opportunities that have been approved at social spark.

AdSense is moving slowly and I'm up to about $60. I'm still awaiting payment for bux.to and I've managed to amass another $15, I'll have to see how much I have in there once payment is made.

MySearchFunds is still a good earner for me I have over $80 in my account but will not be due a payment this month, so should get that amount in mid August.

How are your efforts to make money online working out?

Pay Per Post Frustration

Well its gone from having no opportunities to having more that I've ever had.

I have taken 6 or 7 opportunities in the last week and a half, sometimes 2 per day. The problem is that 2 posts have been disallowed. It just so happens that one of these was a $15 opportunity, the highest I've taken from Pay Per Post.

The reason the first post was disallowed was due to it appearing next to another sponsored post from pay per post. Fair enough I should have remembered their policy and posted a non sponsored post in between. But they didn't even give you the chance to re-submit the post, which I thought was a little poor seen as you'd got the post ready. Surely the advertiser would like the posts and links up sooner rather than waiting for someone else to write the post.

Anyway, fair enough on that one. In between this I took an opportunity from Social Spark, this post got approved and then I posted one from Pay Per Post. Now pay per post said that this post was no good due to the post around it not been good enough. I know they own both businesses through IZEA but c'mon. There is nothing to say that any post isn't "sponsored" from somewhere as most places ask you not to put that fact! So I felt a little sore over that one. A possible $25 extra to the total gone after the work had been done.

Anyway, 2 posts from social spark completed, (one still awaiting approval) and 7 posts completed and approved from pay per post (it so could have been 9). So once payments have been made I will update the totals.

Social Spark

I have just signed up and had one of my blogs approved at:

Social Spark

This is a social community/pay per post site from IZEA the owners of PayPerPost. So far I have applied for a few blogging opportunities but there looks to be a queuing system if all possibilities have been taken.

Payments seem to be higher that PayPerPost for blogs without PR. As high as $27.50 if you have a blog fitting the correct topic and $12 for general every topic blogs.

Here's hoping it turns out to be as lucrative as PayPerPost where I have just had 2 more posts approved.

Great affiliate possibilities

I've just been looking on the internet and have found a great opportunity to earn cash being an affiliate through major companies like PC World, Firebox.com and Play.com

PC World is the largest PC outlet in the UK and Play.com offeres free shipping within the UK and offers great deals on DVD's. All you have to do to get upto 10% on sales you recommend to any of these companies is sign up at AffiliateWindow.

There is a £5 charge which goes straight into your account so doesn't really cost you anything. You can then choose to promote products from any of the sites who also offer special deals. Start earning now and sign up at AffiliateWindow.

MySearchFunds Payout with Proof

Well the day finally arrived yesterday. I checked my paypal account and found a $70+ payment from MySearchFunds. When I first joined up I was rather skeptical as I managed to tot up a couple of dollars in the first day with no real hard work and after spending an hour or two on the internet researching the service I didn't really find any hard proof of people being paid. That's why I've made this post and here is my proof a screen capture form my paypal account:

The service really does pay you to search, the results are great and provided from Yahoo! and its out performed all the other MMO methods I've used.

If you haven't already I suggest you sign up, just visit the link here and fill in the form - Sign up at MySearchFunds

No opportunites then 2 come along at once!

Well I'd just wrote about my third post on how it was getting harder and harder to find opportunities for bloggers and then pay per post offered me two at the same time. I worked hard and managed to complete both posts. The great this is they were my 9th and 10th posts. If everything goes to plan once those posts are approved I will be able to add more blogs to account and hopefully start earning a little more.

Just a quick note to say that MySearchFunds (aka My HomepageFriends) still have not made payment for June so here's hoping that my time put into this method has not been wasted and they will in fact pay out over the weekend.

Fingers crossed.

Bux.to payout pending!

I recently passed the minimum payout at Bux.to. They minimum payout is $10 and I decided at $15 to cash out to my Alert Pay account. I recieved an email saying my payment was pending processing. After not having heard anything in the past week I decided to have a quick search on the net as to how long this could take.

It appears that they are very slow at paying out and are only processing orders from the end of January at the moment. It looks like i'll have to sit tight and might get paid before Christmas. I have also just hit the $20+ mark but only 1 payout can be dealt with at anyone time so it looks as though it will be left on the back burner until I see payment in my account.

Whilst I was looking I came across another program which works on a similar basis, but this one pays out at $10, via paypal and between 24 and 48 hours after requesting payout. The site is:
WordLinx - Get Paid To Click

Just click above to join!

Earnings Update

Following my recent post updating the situation with MySearchFunds, who have now been rebranded HomePage Friends. I am still awaiting a payment for the searches I have carried out. I have heard mixed reviews of the service but still believe that they will make the payout due. So far these are my stats since joining up:

My Earnings
March 2008 348 searches £8.01 earned
April 2008 1311 searches £27.81 earned
May 2008 773 searches £15.85 earned
June 2008 479 searches £10.56 earned
Total 2911 searches £62.23 earned

With a bit of luck this will be one of the best money making tools on the internet.

Progress is slowing!

Well it appears that most of the PR0 posting opportunities have dried up good and proper at pay per post, today there are 3 opportunities I am keeping and eye on but all seem to have been taken already.

I've decided that I much prefer their system to the ones at buyblogreviews and sponsored reviews. This is mainly because 99% of the time on these sites once you make an offer for an opportunity you don't hear anything back at all. A simple not interested would make the service a lot better to the bloggers bidding for opportunities.

I guess I should get back to working on increasing traffic and backlinks in the hope of page rank in the next update.

Is anyone else finding it hard going at the moment?

MySearchFunds - Update

I'm still eagerly awaiting the annoucement that mysearchfunds are payout out for the month ending April 2008. I should be due well over the £20 pay out limit and if I do get paid it will be the best method for earning online so far.

MySearchFunds has just been rebranded too, the site is now Homepage Friends but the service is still the same but a deal has been completed so searches are now completed through Yahoo.

Bux.to payout reached

I've been using the service over at Bux.to that I joined back in April, I mentioned what the service is about here.

Well I've just reached $15 and have requested a payout. It looks as if this isn't instant as I received an email saying that it would be processed as soon as possible.

Here's hoping that it doesn't take too long. This will also give me the opportunity to review the Alert Pay system that was required for the initial sign up at Bux.to.

So do you want to earn some cash by viewing web sites? Why not give this service a go, click the image below to sign up:

Opportunities drying up!

Having only been blogging since February I'm not sure if this is the norm or not but a lot of opportunities seem to have been drying up.

I've been paid out all I've earned from Pay Per Post and have not seen an open opportunity to take in the last month. I've also signed up and am not a member at:

Buy Blog Reviews
Smorty
Sponsored Reviews
Blogitive

All of which have not given me an a post in the last month. It could be something to do with a lack of advertisers but more likely it could be to do with most opportunities are only available to blogs with PR.

Here's hoping that Google will bless at least one of my blogs with some PR in the next update, rumoured to be around the end of July.

How is everyone else finding paid blog posting at the minute?

$$ for watching videos online.

I signed up for a service called BuzzShed a while ago and basically forgot about it.

The service was new at the time and they offered cash rewards for watching video clips. All you had to do was log in to your account watch the video and answer a simple question about it, to prove you had watched the clip. Nice and simple eh.

The reason I forgot about it was due to thee been no video's to watch (no advertisers) for at least 2 months. Then yesterday I received an email from them asking me to watch a video. I tried it out and added the first $0.40 to my account.

If you're interested go and have a look, the service is called BuzzShed.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Ebooks, should I?

In my time on the net I have been tempted to buy the odd ebook and usually back out of the deal thinking it will be a rip off. On occasion I have gone through with it and have been ripped off, I have paid for a few short reports which have made me a little money, I remember one where I read the 3 pages and just thought, "I cannot believe people are selling this!" The offer was just ripping people off, that said it did work and introduced me to a new method of earning, (no not the ripping people off part).

I'm still dubious over ebooks and 9 times out of 10 will still not buy them, most of the hype is fake but been a blogger I did splash out on Blogging to the Bank.
Make Money Blogging
The book covers a lot of points that I wish I would have been told about or shown when I first started out. It would be ideal for anyone just starting out and wanting to make money blogging. The book says that if you are new that you would need to look up a few terms. I think that is a little harsh, if you are interested enough then that is a given. The book does very well at guiding you through the process and gives you an alternative to most situations. It has definitely given me some things to think about and I think that this site might under go some changes shortly and I will also look at starting a new site as well.

I have been doing this for just under 6 months now and I still felt that there were parts I didn't understand enough, this book does a great job of telling you what you need and why and how it works. That way you can also add your own spin on things to make your blogs unique.

Have you had any ebooks that you thought were pure gold, or maybe total garbage?

Finding money making opportunities!

OK so you have a blog and you want to make money, what next?

What you have to do is find some ways in which you can earn from your blog. Paid posting has to be the simplest and fastest way to earn some cash. I've talked about Pay Per Post and Blogitive in previous posts but today I have found another service, Buy Blog Reviews.

Buy blog reviews works in the same way as the other sites, advertisers pay the company to provide them with links and marketing etc. These opportunities are then offered to bloggers that meet the criteria of the advertiser, like the blog's topic must be relevant. As a blogger you can either hunt out the opportunities or sometimes if your blog is well established you may even get contacted directly to review a site or product.

I have just registered with the service this morning so I have all three blogs awaiting approval. I'll let you know how they get on. In the mean time why not register your blogs here and start earning yourself?

Blog posting update

I have just been paid out my remaining funds from Pay Per Post. This has put my total from this site up to $58 the most income from any 1 site I have used. I currently have no posts awaiting payment and keep checking back to see if there are any opportunities.

With my sites still being page ranked 0 the number of opportunities are limited but the $58 does show that it is possible to earn using this service with unranked sites.

I'll keep using the site and hope that one day Google will grace me with Page Rank and the money will start to flow in more freely.

I was also approached directly via email to do a review of another site. I have added the $30 to the random offers as I thought the list may get too long if I started to list each site I reviewed individually.

A new goal!

After just checking my Paypal account I can see that I have been paid for 2 more posts from Pay Per Post and for 2 more reviews from Sponsored Reviews. This is a total increase of $36 pushing the total over my first $100 online.

My goal for this first year was to double that amount to $200 as that would pay for the hosting of my sites that are earning and some sites that I host for friends/family. the initial thought was to earn $100 from AdSense (the minimum payout) in the first year. This is still on track and currently at $25 from 3 months being online. The rest was to come in any way I could find and as it turns out the other ways have been alot more lucrative that the AdSense way so far.

So its time for a new Goal, and its a pretty optimistic one. $500 by March 2009. That will mark my 1 year of being online with any site even when they weren't earning.

So with that in mine, I best get back to work.

Blogitive Update

A week or so ago I posted about joining the Blogitive network to try and earn some more money writing content on my blogs. I joined the network and immediately took an open opportunity. Its good to say that I was also paid for that opportunity the following week. So another $5 on the total ;)

The service and site both work great with only 1 major drawback, the amount of opportunities. I have been a member for 3 weeks now and have only just been given chance of a second opportunity. This may increase as the service/site grow or may increase as my blogs grow and gain more traffic and page rank. I'm not giving up on it yet and will take that opportunity if it is still available after I have finished updating here.

Completing Offers - Earn $5 today.

I have recently increased my online earnings total by $20 by taking part in a series of offers I saw advertised on Digital Point Forums.

The offers included certain parameters, one being living in the UK. The offers basically included signing up at a site using a referral link and then completing one of a number of offers from applying for a credit card to signing up for a free trial at loveFILM. Others included registering and playing through a certain amount at bingo or betting sites.

This was a very simple way for me to make some easy money so will pass on the opportunity here.

I am willing to pay any UK residents $5 for signing up and completing one of the offers at a certain site. If you are interested just leave a comment below.

Blogitive - paid to blog.

I have just completed my first post for Blogitive.

Here is a brief review of their service:

The site seems fairly new and the opportunities are limited. You can add more than one blog so I have just tried adding this blogspot blog. Approval usually takes a couple of days so I will keep everyone informed.

An advantage over Pay Per Post is that payments are made weekly, rather than 30 days after your post has been approved so I should have another $5 to add to the total next week.

A disappointing aspect is there is currently no referral program. I guess that this could be sorted if the site takes off and more advertisers take it on board.

Fingers crossed this blog will get approved. I will also go and try and add this blog at blogspot, although I am sure that they don't accept blogspot blogs!

Another $5 from Pay Per Post

I have just been paid from pay per post for the 2nd post I wrote. This feels like ages ago but I am now in the position where I will get a steady payment from them for the next month or so. I still have $33 to be paid from them for posts that have already been written and approved.

I've not really given any new methods ago as I have been looking into ways to increase earnings through my current systems, for AdSense and Bidvertiser this means traffic and for Pay Per Post it means Page Rank.

My next few posts maybe directed in this direction rather than directly at making money but they are an essential part of the process if you want your earnings to sky rocket!

General Update

This is just a general update on a few different things.

First off I was planning a post regarding GPTreasue.com and how I would not recommend anyone going there. Since then they seem to have got their act together. Basically I had completed a few offers and after revisiting the site they had not gone through correctly. I thought that this was just a way for them to earn more money by you completing the offer again, as it turns out it was down to the browser choice. They highly recommend you complete the offers through Internet Explorer, I did this and the offers have just been paid via paypal, that's another $1.40 for 5 minutes of work.

Has anyone tried GPTreasure.com or had any problems completing their offers?

Although the amount on the right doesn't seem to be rising very often its not due to lack of work. I have been completing paid reviews and pay per post opportunities as well as earning a little from pay per click sites, some payments will be due in the next 10-20 days so I should see a slight rise in the balance.

How are you guys finding this site? Any feedback would be appreciated.

MySearchFunds now searches Google

One of my major issues when using mysearchfunds is that is used the ask search engine to provide you with results. I guess the money made it worth while and I currently upto over £30 ($60) which should be collated at the end of the month for a payment about mid-June.

When I went to use the service today I realised that the results it were throwing up were from Google's search. I checked my account and searches were still been counted and I have just read a message to confirm that they are improving the service to include all Google, MSN and Yahoo results as well as Ask.com.

So why not pop over to My Search Funds, sign up and earn to search.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Some more earnings.

Just a quick update as it is quite late in the UK. I have had a few things happening this week, a lot of new ideas and some more payment into my account, which always makes me smile.

First off a payout from Sponsored Reviews, I will write about the services they offer soon and also a payout from GPTreasure.com again I will post an update about them.

Just off to update the totals in the sidebar and if you have found any of this information useful or would like me to look into a possible opportunity for you then just leave a comment below.

Finding publishers for your site

So would you like a regular income from your blog? Yeah me too. I think I have just found a possible way to obtain this.

Matched is a company that allows you to sign up and add your web sites (up to 5 pages per site) you can even add a few web sites. When you register each page you choose the most relevant topic for it.

Matched then go and look for advertisers for you. Once they have found some, you can choose which appear on your sites. This can lead to a £15 ($30) per month income, straight into your account or via paypal.

I believe you can add up to 5 sites or blogs. So you can potentially earn up to £75 ($150) per month just for displaying ads. Not I have been using AdSense and bidvertiser for over 2 months and have a combined income of $25. So I'm going to give this a go.

If you are interested too, click here and sign up!

I'll post an update once I have this fully up and running.

Paid to complete offers?

I've seen a few of these doing the rounds on various forums so thought what the hell why not give it a go and see what all the fuss is about. If I waste a few hours for nothing at lease I'll have something to blog about right?

Well I do have something to blog about and to be honest it isn't so disappointing!

Its' rare I post about something without actually getting paid by it or it being a big name that more people than I can count have been paid out by so I guess this is a first.

The site is called GPtreasure - you can sign up by clicking the link below:

Sign up at GPtreasure

How does it work?
When you sign up with the link above. You will see an option for offers to the far right of the menu bar. Click this and select an offer. Once you have com pelted the offer you can claim your earnings. Earnings and what is required from each offer is set out in plain English on the screen so you can decide which are for you and which are not.

Who can participate?
A lot of these offers exclude certain countries or are US only. Not this one, there are offers specifically for the US, UK India and lots more places along with an International section anyone can complete.

Why is this different from other?
To be honest, I cannot say for sure as this is the first one of these I hut from what I have read this is the only one where you don't need to earn a minimum before you can claim your earnings, a simple dollar offer can be yours within 24/48 hours after completing.

How do they pay?
I saw E gold mentioned on their site to I stopped looking once I saw that paypal was available.

If you need anymore details just be sure to leave a comment below and I'll help as much as I can.

Like I've mentioned a few times this is the first "Paid to complete offers" offer I have signed up for. With a bit of luck there are a few other good ones out there so I will try out a few and give a comparative review in about a week.

Remember, offers for everyone just sign up here.

Mysearchfunds - Update

I posted about Mysearchfunds at the beginning of the month (here).

I just wanted to update everyone on my progress, I have now passed the minimum payout of £20 ($40). A week a go I saw a notice that they were now processing payments for the month ending Feb 29th. So it looks as though it will be about mid June when I recieve payment. A rather long wait really...

Having said that, this is the easiest way I have found to earn money naturally, I search for sites I want to be on or for information I want to find. I don't have to sign up for anything, or view sites for a set length of time. If you are not signed up already, I hightly recommend clicking below and joining now. $40/£20 or even more could be yours in under a couple of weeks.

A Simple Method - bux.to

OK - As I mentioned before the ways I have found to make money online do not always come through having your own site. Some are that simple that you do not even need a site. Here is one of them:

Bux.to is a simple site, just click here to sign up and start earning.

What do I have to do?

Once you have signed up you will be presented with a page of links. Click one of the links and it will open in a new window, you will also see a counter at the top of the page. The counter starts at 30 seconds and counts down to 0, once done it will replace the 0 with a tick to show that it has been registered. That completed, click the next link available.

See simple - You can only view each link once every 24 hours. But new links do appear throughout the day.

You cannot open multiple links at the same time it must be one at a time but saying that you do not have to actually do anything or even watch the add, you can have a nother site open in another tab or browser window or even minimise the window witht he ad in.

So what are you waiting for? Have you heard of bux.to before? Do you currently use it?

Alternative Pay Per Click Programs

The advantage of the point per click program is that one you have it set up, you don't need to do anything. There is also the advantage that all the visitor has to do is click on one of these links and it will generate you a small amount of income. There is no need for the user to sign up or install anything, a simple click on the link and thats some cash for you or me. An important part of this method is web site traffic which, as you can tell, I'm still working on.

But the reason for this post is to tell you about Bidvertise:

Bidvertise is a pay per click program just like Google AdSense, you can sign up using the banner above as either an advertiser or a publisher. Advertisers pay for traffic and publisher (me or you) add the advertisers links on our site.

Now you might think, why use this when Adsense does the same thing and is more common, well - 1 simple answer "Money!". Today I had 1 click in my Google Adsense account and I earnt $0.18. So far in my Bidvertise campaign I have had 6 clicks and have amassed over $3.50, so you can see each click is earning me more than double the amount of the AdSense.

There are probably over 100 similar services that do similar things, hopefully I will get to try a few out and report back with the top 5. But thats for a later day. So click the link above and check out Bidvertise.

Anyone using anything different, or already signed up at Bidvertise?

Pay Per Post has paid me!

Things are a little slow at the moment, I have just been on a 4 day web design course that left me with no internet access at all, (strange that on a web design course). Anyway what I did receive on my return was an email notification from Pay Per Post that $20 has been paid to me via paypal. So it's started, current balance paid $20. I also have around $15 still waiting to be paid in Pay Per Post, $30 in mysearchfunds and $20 in adsense, that makes a current virtual balance of $85. Not bad for just getting things rolling is it.

Pay per post is a great place to be signed up with, they give all new members the $20 opportunity that I have just been paid for. There are also lots of opportunities even for those blogs with PR0. Just like mine. Unlike may other make money schemes there is no limit you have to hit to recieve a payout. Adsense is a $100 minimum and mysearchfunds is round about $40.

So do you have a blog? Then why not click here and sign up at Pay Per Post, 1 post talking about pay per post will guarantee you $20, with the opportunity for a lot more. Hey - even take this post and edit it a little and you'll have your first post written for nothing, lol.

Comment below if you decided to sign up or have been using pay per post for a while.

The next step - mysearchfunds

I have started to realise that the ways to make money online are sort of split between what you can do on your own site and things you can do on other people sites.

I came across this service which will pay you for each search you carry out

The pay out per search isn't huge but they will soon add up, especially if you can get friends to sign up, click the image above and give it a try, sign up is free and who doesn't search the internet?

Thursday, 3 April 2008

Starting point

Right so my fist effort in making money is going to be using one of the longest running and most popular services - Google Adsense.

So set up an AdSense all you need to do is pop over to https://www.google.com/adsense/ and click on sign up.

Signing up is like filling in any other online form, you enter your details and click submit at the end. The one thing you do need is a web site. But don't worry, you can go with a free host or a blogspot or wordpress blog, all of which are free.

Once your account is set up, you go though a series of set up options where you can select the type of ads you want on your site, choices like text only, image only or mixed. Where you want them to appear, what size and also what colour they are.

You are then left with a piece of code (generated for you) that you need to add to your site. Once you've done that. That's pretty much it.

Its normal to take up to 10 minutes for the ads to show, once they do show its a case of getting traffic to your site. All done, keep checking your AdSense account for any profit.

There you go a whistle stop guide to Google AdSense, later in the blog I'll be explaining a little more in depth about AdSense and how to maximise it to its potential.

Technorati Profile

In the beginning

OK - In the beginning I had a real job, by real I mean an office job where I worked for someone else's company. Now I want to create my own company, or at least enough money not to work for anyone else. So here it begins. I've heard it can be done. So I'm going to give it a go.

Interested in doing the same? Keep checking back, if I find something that works I'll share it here and tell you how you can earn some online cash too.

So to start with, I guess, welcome and any ideas to get me started?
