The homepage-friends story has taken another twist. Although everyone I know was ready to giv eup on the system as a scam now a member posted an emaikl he received form their customer support dept. The email basically said they are slowly working through a backlog. How true this is I don't know. For the number of users and email enquireies they must have been getting a simple message on the members area would have gone a long way to putting some minds at rest.
I'm still in a wait ans see situation. I'll keep you all posted.

I received a similar email stating they were backlogged about a week ago in response to my asking if they were going to pay out in the dates they stated on my account. I thought was very ironic because in September they posted a news message stating they had made all UK payments for those that were due in September and would be paying out the rest in the "next week or so". Its been a month or so since that message.
I have got in touch with them recently and more or less being promised a pay out soon. They said my details had been passed on to the Finance Dept. I guess them replying to emails is a lot better situation than 1 month ago. Still to be convinced.
